Community members are in need - and you can help!

Thank you so much for supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania during these uncertain times. As the largest hunger-relief organization in the region and the only community partner capable of storing and distributing millions of pounds of food each year, Second Harvest is the single most important source of food for our member agencies who provide food directly to families and individuals in crisis situations, including the current crisis with COVID-19.

Feeding America's most recent Map the Meal Gap study shows that more than 91,000 individuals living in northwest Pennsylvania are food insecure. Due to the current situation involving COVID-19, Second Harvest expects to see an increased need throughout the region. In order to fulfill this increased need for food assistance, Second Harvest will pack and distribute Emergency Relief Food through partners within our 11-county service area.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance due to COVID-19, please call the Second Harvest Food Line at 814-459-3663 x 117. If you are fortunate enough to not need assistance during this crisis, please consider supporting Second Harvest's efforts to provide for our neighbors in need during this time.

The situation with COVID-19 is ever-changing and there may come a time for Second Harvest to further modify our current processes of getting food to families. We hope you will continue to support our important work of ensuring that every family, child and senior has access to the food necessary for a healthy life.
