19th Annual Holiday Meal Campaign

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania announces the 19^th year of its Holiday Meal Campaign. The holidays are a time to nourish traditions, celebrate, and share meals with our loved ones. Yet, 1 in 7 individuals in northwest Pennsylvania will face hunger, even during the holiday season. Historically, Second Harvest has been able to provide holiday meals to our neighbors in need for the last 18 years, we hope to be able to continue to make the holidays full this season.

“Food has a unique way of bringing people together,” said Karen S. Seggi, Chief Executive Officer of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania. “We work hard to provide nutritious meals to our neighbors all year long, but we hope that offering a holiday meal adds warmth and joy to this special time for our community.”

At Second Harvest, we can distribute more food per dollar than any other organization in the area. Every dollar contributed to the Holiday Meal Campaign helps provide nutritious ingredients and deliver festive meals to those in need. Second Harvest aims to raise $80,000 for this campaign.

Your food bank is inviting individuals, businesses, and community groups to join this effort. This support will provide nourishment and bring warmth and hope to families experiencing food insecurity during this season of giving.
