Second Harvest Food Bank Launches Holiday Meal Campaign to Combat Food Insecurity

In the spirit of giving and compassion, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania announces its 18th year of their Holiday Meal Campaign. We aim to bring joy and relief to families in need by providing them with a hearty and festive meal this holiday season. Second Harvest plans to provide 2,400 meals to our neighbors in need right here in Erie County. CEO Karen Seggi shared, “Second Harvest works hard to provide food all year long, but doing something special for a family in need during the holiday season is extra meaningful. Food brings families together, and we hope that providing a holiday meal makes this season even brighter for our community.”

Your generous monetary donation will enable us to purchase, pack, and distribute healthy ingredients for holiday meals. With the power of our relationships within the community, Second Harvest can distribute more food per dollar than any other organization in the area. The goal for this campaign is to raise $80,000.

Second Harvest Food Bank is inviting the community, businesses, and philanthropic individuals to join hands in making this campaign a success. Questions? Please reach out to our Director of Development, Breanna Watts, at (814) 459-3663 ext. 114 or at bwatts@nwpafoodbank.org. Your support will not only provide nourishment, but also bring warmth and hope to families facing food insecurity during this special time of year.
